Writing Inspiration

One of my favorite things to do when I start working on a book is to find photos of celebrities that remind me of my main character. Then I take those photos and make a collage. I use the collage whenever I’m writing to inspire the character’s clothes, home, and mannerisms.

One of the next things I’m writing is a contemporary romance called Pole Vault, so of course, I had to create some collages for the book, including one for each of my main characters Valentina and Zavier. My heroine is a sex-positive podcaster living in NYC. Cierra Ramirez was the perfect embodiment of Valentina. She plays complicated characters who are smart but at the same time not afraid to be sexy, exactly like Valentina.

The hero of my story, Zavier Zaragosa, aka Goose, is a former quarterback, so of course, I had to find the sexiest Latinx quarterback to grace the NFL. Zavier is complicated but sensitive, just like Mark. Every time I look at these, I can’t wait for everyone to read this book!
