Reading Does A Writer Good

Since last year, the dreaded 2020, I’ve been reading - a lot.

Technically, I’ve been listening to a lot because they’re usually audiobooks. I listen when I’m working, cleaning, preparing dinner, and when I should be writing more often than I should. I sometimes feel guilty about “wasting time,” but then I remind myself every good writer reads. So I thank the little negative voice and push them away and press play.

Most of my books are from a library app. I use two different apps, Libby and Hoopla. It’s amazing to have so many books at my fingertips. The only problem, besides the fourteen-day borrow time, is trying to decide what to read.

Today, I’m excited to have reached 30 books read, the halfway point toward my annual goal of 60 books for the year. In the next couple of blogs, I will write about my favorite books I’ve read thus far.

I was hoping you could comment below with book suggestions to add to my TBR list!
